Lisa Nguyen is an Art Director and Fashion Stylist based in New York. With a career spanning 15 years, her clients include editorial for Hunger, i-D, InStyle, Interview, L’Officiel, Nylon, Wonderland..  and commercial clients Anthropologie, Bond Hardware, Coach, Diesel, Marcolin, Maria Tash, and Target.

 

Not only recognized for her creative talent, Lisa is known for her signature style and point of view on fashion and beauty. Lisa has appeared in editorial features for Elle UK, Glamour, New York Magazine, Nylon US & Korea, The Huffington Post, W Magazine, and WWD. She has been cast in campaigns and commercial shoots for Nars, Rolls Royce 100th Anniversary, Sennheiser, Swatch, and Tresemme.

 

Originally from Sydney Australia with Vietnamese heritage, Lisa was introduced to fashion through the fanatical scene of streetwear and sneaker culture, as part of a prominent Sydney retail group. She went on to fashion label Wayne Cooper, assisting the British creative director and traveling the world for design inspiration. This travel motivated her move to London, where Lisa worked alongside creative director Hannah Marshall, and legendary photographer Rankin. Lisa was on the inaugural team that created Hunger Magazine.

 

Lisa Nguyen moved to New York in 2011 and has built a freelance career inspired by her multicultural experiences, and international references. Her love for the city that never sleeps includes her time as the door host and gatekeeper to the famous Boom Boom Room at the Top of the Standard, and this deep understanding of New York culture, nightlife, and celebrity continues to be a source of her creative inspirations. Lisa is married to photographer Neil Dawson, and is mother to daughter Lien and son Khai.
